Unaric Voice for Microsoft Teams automatically creates a call log record in Salesforce for each inbound and outbound call when using the Unaric Voice SoftPhone.

This ensures that every interaction is documented without requiring manual input from the user. Each record is linked to the appropriate contact, lead, or account based on caller ID, keeping your CRM accurate and your team’s activity fully traceable.

When calls are handled through the add-in instead of the SoftPhone, the system still creates an activity record in Salesforce, but it will not automatically associate the call with a contact. In these cases, you can optionally configure notifications (for example, an email alert) so that unassigned calls are flagged for follow-up.

Context-Rich Entries

Each automatically created record includes key details: the direction of the call (incoming, outgoing, or missed), date and time, call duration, and who initiated the interaction.

If the call was associated with a known Salesforce contact, lead, or queue, that information is attached as well. This level of detail gives teams a clear picture of engagement history and saves valuable time during follow-ups and reporting.

User Control Over Call Logging

Automatic record creation is intelligent, not intrusive.

If a user prefers not to log a specific call - for example, a personal or internal call - they can simply check the “Do not log the Call in Salesforce” box within the Unaric Voice for Microsoft Teams modal before or during the conversation.

This option is configurable. If the feature is removed in your deployment, then every call will be logged automatically, ensuring consistency across the team.

No Clicks Required

Unaric Voice for Microsoft Teams eliminates the need for post-call data entry.

The system automatically generates and associates the Salesforce record in the background when using the Unaric Voice SoftPhone, even if it isn’t the active window. Whether the user is on desktop or mobile, and regardless of whether the call was answered or missed, the event is still captured and synced.

This blend of automatic data capture and easy-to-use manual note taking ensures no call goes undocumented, improving Salesforce data quality.
