Simple Installation
Getting started with Unaric Scan is quick and straightforward. Install the app from Salesforce AppExchange directly into your Sandbox or Production environment.
Assign licenses and permission sets to your users, and you're ready to go.
With no Apex code or external integrations required, you can deploy Unaric Scan across your organization with minimal configuration and no developer support.
No-Code Configuration
Unaric Scan is fully configurable within Salesforce. You can enable barcode scanning on any object, standard, custom, or managed, simply by adding a text field with the API name SA_ID__c.
Mark it as an external ID and unique if desired. This field acts as the match point for scanned codes, making it easy to link existing records to barcodes or QR codes. No scripting, no triggers, just native Salesforce tools.
Lightning-Ready Components
Unaric Scan is built with Lightning in mind. Add the Scan component to any Lightning Page, use it as a tab in the Salesforce mobile app, or configure it as a Global Action.
Administrators can quickly add scanning functionality to app menus or page layouts with a few clicks with no custom development needed. You can even restrict visibility to mobile devices only using Dynamic Actions and form factor settings.
Works Out of the Box
Once installed and configured, Unaric Scan is ready for immediate use. Users simply open the Salesforce mobile app, tap the scan button, and point the camera at a barcode.
Matching records open automatically, or new ones can be created via Flow.
If any changes are made to fields or objects, users can refresh the app cache to instantly detect new configurations, with no redeployment or sync delay required.
