Centralized Equipment Type Records On Salesforce

Ccentralize and streamline asset grouping in Salesforce - making it easy to manage, control, and customize equipment types for high-volume inventories with precision and flexibility.

Organize by Asset Type

Unaric Equipment Track uses Equipment Types to group similar items for easier reporting, inventory management, and request creation.

Think of Equipment Types as a master record. For example, if your organization stocks 50 units of the same laptop model, each device gets a unique serial number but links back to one shared Equipment Type. This structure enables consistent tracking and simplifies operational workflows across high-volume inventories.

Simple Asset Type Creation

Creating a new Equipment Type takes just a few clicks. From the Equipment Types tab, select + New Equipment Type, then fill in key details such as the name, owner, and a brief description.

Additional options include uploading an image via URL and setting post-loan availability rules. Once complete, click Save to finalize the new type and make it available across your system.

Activate with Control

Control which Equipment Types are available to users by toggling the Active checkbox.

This lets you manage seasonal items, phase out outdated gear, or limit visibility of test inventory without deleting records. Unaric Equipment Track gives you the flexibility to adapt your inventory on the fly without losing historical context.

Customize Loan Availability

Each Equipment Type includes a Post Loan Pad setting. This defines how many days after a return the equipment becomes eligible for a new loan or reservation. You can also assign a Post Loan Pad Label like Unavailable, None, or NA to give users a clear status update during this buffer period.
