Dreamforce is a huge event, with the great and the good from the Salesforce ecosystem gathering in San Francisco to share ideas, best practice and the occasional happy-hour drink. The main agenda comprises some 1500 sessions spread over 3 days. Choosing which sessions to attend can be difficult, so we asked our Head of Architecture, James Melville which 3 sessions he can't wait to check out.
The New AppExchange: App Discovery Transformed
My first pick is this App Discovery session from Salesforce’s Chirag Mehta and Jordan Wright. During the session, they'll offer their recommendations for how businesses should use the AppExchange to find apps relevant to them. Having a great AppExchange listing is a valuable way to find new customers. I’m planning to use the session to help think about how prospects might find our apps on the AppExchange, and hence how to mould our listings to attract more high quality leads.
Extend the Power of Salesforce with Partners and AI
AI is presenting us with many ways to become more productive, so my second session would have to be an AI-focused talk. Salesforce appears to be pulling together some amazing capabilities, but as an AppExchange partner we can’t yet develop our solutions on top of all of these. I’m anticipating more details about enhancements which will allow us to build more great AI driven functionality on top of Salesforce’s secure and trustworthy technologies.
AppExchange Security Review: Best Practices and Innovations
My final pick is this session on best practice and innovation in AppExchange security. The AppExchange Security Review is a moving target by nature, best practices in security are constantly evolving and Salesforce has to continually adjust the security review in response to this. In this session I’m hoping to hear recommendations from Salesforce’s Product Management Director and Senior Director for AppExchange Operations on their best practices to pass the security review and details of recent changes to the review. Our apps might be called for the security review at any time, so being aware of what might be checked allows us to reduce the effort of passing the next review and reduce the risk of failure.
If you're planning on attending Dreamforce 2023 and want to connect with James or any of the Unaric team, you can book a slot to meet with us at our private room in the Spaces building, just a five minute walk from Moscone.
